Love Your Enemies
Imagine with me for a moment the story of Elijah as he is running from the wicked queen, Jezebel.
Elijah had confronted the prophets of Baal and Ashtaroth in a battle of good vs. evil. Good prevails and all the people gathered on Mount Carmel witness the miraculous intervention of YHVH and turn away from the baals and worship the Almighty YHVH, Creator of heaven and earth. Elijah was definitely on a HIGH! But now Jezebel hears what Elijah has done to all her “prophets” and she issues a threat. “I’m going to kill that man!”
Elijah, who just participated in one of the greatest YHVH interventions of the time — a mighty demonstration of Power — decides to run from Jezebel in order to save his life. What is this?! The devil’s prophets didn’t win the confrontation — Elijah witnessed an incredible demonstration of YHVH’s power to bring the people to repentance; and now he is fleeing for his life!
To those of you who hear, HEAR the words of Yashua from Luke 6:27, “…Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.”
We are in a time very similar to the time Elijah confronted the prophets of baal. Wickedness is running rampant, discouragement hangs heavy over the heads of the people, contentions and divisiveness are everywhere one turns, immorality and perversions abound; it may seem as if there is no hope — we may want to hide, ignore, dismiss and hope it all just goes away, turn a blind eye, accept to just get along, tolerate, condemn, hate, murder; but that is not what Yashua told Elijah to do nor is it what He told us to do through the writers of the books of Matthew and Luke. Yashua said to LOVE. And in John 13:35, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
This is not referring to a “touchy feely” kind of love where one is expected to love anything and everything to get along — No, this is a love that surpasses all understanding; this is LOVE that sees one another through the eyes of YHVH Yashua. This is LOVE that sees one another as YHVH created us to BE; not as the world distorts us into being.
A few years back we created a site on the web called Americas 7000, we also linked a Facebook page under the same name, America’s 7000. We don’t have the America’s 7000 website operational any longer, but the Facebook page is still active and www.GodsPowerLines.com will be the new website connection for Americas 7000 Facebook page.
The reason for America’s 7000 comes from the story of Elijah as he is told by YHVH that 7000 in all Israel had not bowed the knee to Baal. Remember, Elijah was pretty discouraged when YHVH spoke this word to him.
We also live in what can be described as discouraging, disheartening times, but like YHVH told Elijah — don’t give up, I have a plan — do these things and remember that I have 7000, (the perfect number) that have My home phone number, so to speak!
If you want to get involved in: “Pray Ride” go to Facebook/americas7000 and become a Follower.
Let’s learn to LOVE and practice loving our enemies and see what YHVH will do on behalf of His people!
GO America’s 7000!
Luke 6:27-38 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
