Exodus 4:17, “You shall take in your hand this staff, with which you shall perform the signs.” Exodus 4:20, “…Moses also took the staff of God in his hand.”
Moses staff had become the “staff of YHVH.” The serpent, or fear, had been exposed and put under his feet. This is an interesting reference to Yashua’s statement from John 14:29-30, “…for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me…” YHVH delivered Moses from hasatan’s influences so that Moses could be YHVH’s vessel through which deliverance would come for the children of Israel. It is Yashua, who is without sin, by which we are delivered unto salvation. “Go in shalom”, the Power that destroys the one that brings chaos.
Exodus 4:29-31, “Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the sons of Israel; and Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses. He then performed the signs in the sight of the people. So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD was concerned about the sons of Israel and that He had seen their affliction, then they bowed low and worshiped.”
Moses went to Egypt in the power of YHVH. The people saw and believed and worshipped — at the beginning of their deliverance; their expectations, though, were for immediacy — we have to become equipped for the long- haul! YHVH is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow; His word never changes; what He has spoken He will do! He is not the one bothered by time; we are!
2Samuel 22:48-51, The God who executes vengeance for me, and brings down peoples under me, who also brings me out from my enemies; You even lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man. “Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the nations, and I will sing praises to Your name. “He is a tower of deliverance to His king, and shows lovingkindness to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”
Psalm 95:9-11, “When your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work. “For forty years I loathed that generation, and said they are a people who err in their heart, and they do not know My ways. Therefore I swore in My anger, truly they shall not enter into My rest.”
Luke 12:11-12, “When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” YHVH did this for Moses; He will fulfill this promise for you as well! Never fear YHVH words are yes and Amen!
Luke 12:15, Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.” We are the ones who separate from YHVH by our thoughts, attitudes, actions and behaviors. Life is more than what we can see, hold, taste and smell; life is eternal. Seek first YHVH and His kingdom and all these things shall be added unto you as well.
